Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network

LRMN exists to empower refugees and other migrants and to bring about systemic change to remove the challenges they face. Advice and information for refugees and asylum seekers and migrants. We provide advice on Immigration, Housing and Welfare Benefits. We also provide one to one counselling and offer advice on employment and training. We also offer advice and support for children and young people as well as a team of advisers supporting Lewisham residents with mental health issues. Open 9.30am to 5pm (closed for lunch between 1 and 2pm) Monday to Friday.

Advocacy, education and support for African refugees and asylum seekers. Family support. Education and mentoring for young people, including CV preparation, help with job applications, interview skills, jobsearch. IT courses, literacy and numeracy classes.

Waterloo Community Counselling

Low Cost Counselling Services offers accessible, affordable counselling to people living in London. Clients can access counselling from 18 weeks up to 2 years. There is a sliding sale of charges, starting at £20. We do also provide a concessionary rate for those in receipt of benefits. The Multi-Ethnic Counselling Service provides time-limited, mother tongue and culturally sensitive counselling via language counsellors for 8-12 weeks. Multi-Ethnic Counselling Service works with refugees, asylum-seekers referrals, and people who may not be entitled to access statutory services beyond primary care.

Irish Community Services in South East London (Greenwich, Bexley, Lewisham & Kent)

Range of services for predominantly but not exclusively the Irish Community in South East London. We offer Advice and advocacy for all. Dimbleby Cancer Care

If you’re affected by cancer, Dimbleby Cancer Care can offer you high quality information and support. We offer a range of information on all aspects of living with cancer along with psychological support, complementary therapies (including clinical aromatherapy, massage and reflexology plus relaxation and stress management workshops), support groups and a benefits advice service. The information drop-in service is open and available for patients, family members and carers. We are also happy to be contacted by phone or email. Psychological and Complementary Therapy outpatient services offer an appointment based system by NHS video link or telephone. Eligibility criteria applies for our appointment based services, please contact us for further information. All of our areas are fully accessible for disabled patients and carers.

Citizens Advice Lewisham is a member of a consortium of local advice centres in the London Borough of Lewisham. Access to our advice service and other advice services in the borough is through Advice Lewisham Advice line operated by the consortium. These are short telephone interviews to find out about your enquiry and decide how best we can help you , providing, online information, signposting or referral to other agencies or an advice appointment with one of the Advice Lewisham advice agencies including Citizens Advice Lewisham. Advice Appointments only booked through the Advice Lewisham Adviceline (0800 231 5453 - Mon-Thurs 9am-12.30pm / 1.30pm-5pm ). We also provide an information and digital support hub with volunteer support at the Leemore Community Advice Hub, Monday / Wednesday / Friday 10am to 1pm.Telephone service offering debt information and advice for Lewisham residents. Advice on mortgage or rent arrears, repossession action in the courts, and consumer credit debt. Casework service for people with complex debts. Representation and advice at Bromley County Court for mortgage/rent repossession hearings.
