Linden Hall Social Day Centre for Older People

Social club for older people in Richmond and surrounding areas. Lunch, chiropody, hairdressing and a range of social and leisure activities. Transport service for people in the Hampton area with disabilities.

Down's Syndrome Association

Information, advice and support for people who have Down's syndrome throughout their lives, for families, carers and professionals. The DSA provides advice on all issues, with a daily helpline phone and email service, training (including online training), assessments, consultations, employment program (Workfit) and sports/activities program (DSActive). Specialist advice include benefits, medical and healthcare, development, complex needs and dual diagnoses, education, adult social care and support, and speech, language and communication. DSA campaign and policy work includes include Tell it Right (maternity services), Health Alert, Education, and Support for Adults (It’s My Life). Outside office hours answerphone gives an emergency contact number. 100+ affiliated local groups.

Create Wellness – Group Programmes and Counselling: Group programmes are offered from the Ealing office around topics such as recovery, abstinence, and sexual identity. Individuals can self-fund or be funded through their local authority services. A paid counselling service is offered in Ealing, and is open to individuals from all London boroughs. / Project STRIDE: A free Employment, Training, and Education project available to residents of Brent, Ealing and Harrow. / Ascent – Women’s service: Free counselling and groups support around Domestic & Sexual Violence for residents of Hounslow, Wandsworth, Merton, Richmond, Kingston, Brent & Harrow. / Pukaar – Women’s service: Free counselling and group support around Domestic & Sexual Violence for residents of Hillingdon. Counselling is offered in a variety of community languages including Dari, Pashto, Urdu and English. / Floating Support Services - Ealing: Free service for Ealing residents, providing assistance with housing issues and other related issues such as debt management, bill payment etc. / Brent Youth Offenders Service: Referrals through Brent Probation Services. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across London and Surrey. Our bespoke support is free of charge to families and includes a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups for the whole family, specialist nursing care and respite at our hospices, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
