The Alcohol Service @ Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster

The Alcohol Service (TAS) is a free and confidential alcohol service for adults, families, carers and affected others in the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. Our service is for anyone experiencing difficulty with alcohol use or who are affected by alcohol use issues. We can meet with you at a venue close to your home, such as your GP practice or an appropriate venue that is local to you. We will discuss your needs with you and together develop a tailored care plan to help you progress towards your individual goals. You will be able to select from a menu of treatment options and we will support you to choose the appropriate level and type of support for your needs. The length, frequency and intensity of your treatment will be agreed as part of your personalised plan. Whether you have recently become concerned about your alcohol use, or you have been drinking for many years, The Alcohol Service can support you to make healthier choices and improve your lifestyle.

Eritrean Elders Welfare Association

Advice, information and support for older people and disabled people from the Eritrean community, including refugees and asylum seekers. Weekly social club. Befriending and home visiting service. Interpreting service. Aim to help elderly Eritreans to integrate into the community and access mainstream services.

The Mulberry Centre

Information and support in a non-clinical environment for anyone affected by cancer. Services include a reference library, advice on welfare rights and benefits, counselling, support groups and a range of complementary therapies. Open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm and Wednesday evening until 8.00pm

Migrants Organise

User-led community development organisation working with migrant community groups and individuals. Work in partnership with groups around organising training and building power amongst migrant communities. Advice for migrants and refugees and those seeking asylum, including mentoring and volunteering schemes, group classes and activities, as well as casework and legal advice.

African Advocacy Foundation

Advocacy, education and support for African refugees and asylum seekers. Family support. Education and mentoring for young people, including CV preparation, help with job applications, interview skills, jobsearch. IT courses, literacy and numeracy classes.

Westway Community Transport

We provide essential transport and training services to our members who are based in Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham. We provide community transport to groups, older people and disabled people or anyone who can’t access public transport easily. Our goals include championing social inclusion, reducing isolation and alleviating loneliness; while encouraging our members to live life independently, the way they want.

Marriage Care

Central office of Marriage Care. Counselling for those with marriage or relationship difficulties or those preparing for marriage. Marriage preparation courses and relationship education in schools. Helpline offers information and listening for people with marriage or relationship difficulties.

Jobcentre Plus - St Marylebone

Combined jobsearch and benefits service for people of working age. Personal advisers assist with jobsearch activities and benefits claims. Access to Jobpoint terminals for information on job vacancies. Part of the Department for Work and Pensions' Jobcentre Plus network.
