Wigan Youth Zone

Life is more complex than ever before, so the Youth Zone have trained staff on hand to help young people make sense of the challenges they face from staying safe to choosing a healthy lifestyle. Young people can get support with: Drug awareness, sexual health, body image, mediation, one to one support, bullying, domestic skills, relationships, domestic violence, transition from school, smoking cessation, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender support and counseling around bereavement, self-harm and depression. Other services offered include sports hall/gym.

Housing Support Unit provides an accommodation service for accommodation up to 1 year with support to move on to their own tenancies. Referrals to the service must be completed via The Mainstay System - contact number 0151 600 3547. Starter packs such as bedding, pots and pans etc via Material and Welfare Aid Scheme can be accessed.
