Henshaws Society for Blind People
Services for people with visual impairments. Regional resource centres in Manchester and Liverpool provide drop-in services, children and families service, information support groups, sensory stimulation rooms and Braille groups. Also provide equipment for use in the centres, visual impairment training, arts and crafts activities, lunch club and a summer playscheme. College and residential places in East Yorkshire.

Trafford Council Adult Social Care
Provides a referral service, information and advice on support for adults and older people. Several specialist teams also provide hospital based services and support for adults with learning disabilities. In an emergency in the evenings and at weekends you can contact Trafford Council’s Emergency Duty Team on 0161 912 2000. This should be used for issues which cannot wait until the next working day.

Nugent - Housing Support Unit
Housing Support Unit provides a homeless accommodation service with an expected length of stay of up to 6 months. The service provides support for clients to develop the skills to move on to their own independent tenancies. Referrals to the service must be completed via The Mainstay System - contact number 0151 600 3547. Starter packs such as bedding, pots and pans etc can be accessed for our clients via our fund raising.

African and Caribbean Mental Health Services
ACMHS provides Talking Therapies predominantly to African and African Caribbean people as well as other minority groups including White Europeans registered with a Manchester GP experiencing mild to moderate mental health ie: depression, anxiety, relationship problems, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress, Couples therapy for depression with a perinatal focus. We also provide services for African and African Caribbean with severe and enduring mental health in Manchester and surrounding areas. Our Cultural Wellbeing Programme also provides support to Black African, Caribbean or South Asian Communities living in Manchester or Trafford offering counselling, medication management, education, health and fitness and other activities to support their wellbeing. Services also include: one to one CBT interventions, CBT counselling, Person centred counselling, Couples counselling, Information and advice, Music Project (Positive Vibrations) Groups (women, carers), Volunteering opportunities ie: Befriending, Hospital visiting. Training ie: race and mental health, cultural awareness and mental wellbeing and person centred counselling placements.
